Bruce Raynor

Bruce S. Raynor is the former Executive Vice President of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), former President of Workers United (SEIU) former International President of UNITE, the textile and garment workers union, and the former International President of UNITE HERE the merger between the nation garment union and the hotel and casino union. He is also a founding member of the Leadership Council of the Change to Win Federation (CTW), and a member of the Cornell University Board of Trustees. He was Chairman of several union-affiliated national pension and insurance funds. He was Chairman of the Board of Amalgamated Life Insurance Company, a union-affiliated insurance company established in 1943 and spent ten years as the Chairman of Amalgamated Bank, the only union-owned bank in America. Mr. Raynor is also President of The Sidney Hillman Foundation, a foundation that supports and rewards socially conscious journalism.

Mr. Raynor helped create the Basil Paterson Scholarship Fund and its annual fundraising event. He has raised millions of dollars to support home health workers seeking to improve their lives, while spreading awareness of the crucial role these caregivers play in our society.

Mr. Raynor is now the principal of R & S Associates, a consulting firm based in New York and is President Emeritus of Workers United (SEIU).
